Fuel prices to increase starting tomorrow, gasoline hits year-high

Filipino consumers will face fuel price increases starting Tuesday, August 26, with gasoline rising by P0.70 per liter, diesel by P0.50 per liter, and kerosene by P0.30 per liter.

Shell Pilipinas, CleanFuel, Seaoil, PetroGazz, and Caltex are among the oil companies implementing these adjustments.

The Department of Energy's Oil Industry Management Bureau anticipates continued price hikes in the coming months due to higher demand.

Persistent geopolitical tensions between Iran and Israel, as well as the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, are significant factors contributing to oil price volatility and potential supply disruptions.

This latest increase brings gasoline to its highest price point this year, with a net increase of P12.10 per liter from the end of 2024.

Diesel has seen a year-to-date increase of P12.45 per liter, while kerosene has risen by P2.05 per liter.
