NUNS blows out UPIS by 68 points to extend winning streak to eight games

National University-Nazareth School (NUNS) dominated University of the Philippines Integrated School (UPIS) with a commanding 107-39 victory to kick off the second round of the UAAP Season 88 Junior High School Basketball Tournament.

This win extended the Bullpups' winning streak to eight games, maintaining their undefeated record after sweeping the first round.

The 68-point blowout marked the largest winning margin in UAAP junior high school basketball since NUNS's own 70-point victory in Season 86.

Malian center Moussa Diakite was a key player, scoring 18 points, grabbing seven rebounds, and making two blocks in minimal playing time.

Jaypee Yanga also contributed significantly with a perfect 14-point performance on 7-of-7 shooting, complemented by five rebounds and three steals.

NUNS head coach Leo Pujante emphasized the importance of not being overconfident and respecting all opponents, regardless of their perceived strength.
