NU opens two new campuses to reach 85,000 students

National University (NU) is expanding with two new campuses in Cebu and Las Piñas, increasing its total to 14 and aiming for 85,000 students.

The new campuses, located within SM properties, are part of NU's 125th anniversary celebration and align with the SM Group's social good initiatives.

NU President and CEO Dr. Renato Carlos Ermita Jr. stated the expansion's purpose is to provide greater access to quality education.

The initiative is inspired by the late SM founder Henry Sy, Sr.'s belief in education's power to break poverty cycles.

NU maintains an open admissions policy to ensure college readiness and provide opportunities for students from various backgrounds.

The university recently received a QS 3 Stars rating, with commendations in Employability and Teaching, and is focusing on international credibility and becoming research-oriented.
