NU Bulldogs secure Final Four spot with sweep over UE

National University (NU) secured a spot in the UAAP Season 87 men's volleyball Final Four by decisively sweeping University of the East (UE) with scores of 25-21, 25-17, 25-16.

This victory marks NU's fourth consecutive win, improving their record to 10-2 and extending their Final Four streak to 10 seasons.

Buds Buddin led NU with 15 points from 13 attacks, one block, and one ace, while Obed Mukaba contributed 14 points, including seven blocks, six kills, and one ace.

Leo Ordiales and Leo Oringo combined for 20 points for the Bulldogs, and Greg Ancheta had 23 excellent sets.

Raquim Aceron and Isaiah Roca scored 10 points each for UE, who suffered their 12th straight defeat.

NU Head Coach Dante Alinsunurin expressed gratitude for the team's performance, highlighting their control of the game tempo and the significant impact of their blocking.

Alinsunurin also noted the positive effect of their consistent wins on the players' mindset and physical conditioning as they head into the Final Four.
