NU Lady Bulldogs advance to SSL finals, set for rematch with La Salle

Defending champions National University (NU) defeated Far Eastern University (FEU), 25-16, 19-25, 25-17, 25-22, to secure a spot in the Shakey's Super League Collegiate Pre-season Championship finals.

NU will face undefeated De La Salle University in a rematch of the inaugural finals series, with Game 1 scheduled for November 22.

Alyssa Solomon was a key player in NU's victory, scoring 17 points, including 11 in the crucial fourth set.

Solomon's performance in the fourth set included blasting three of the Lady Bulldogs' last four points to secure the win.

UAAP MVP Bella Belen and seasoned spiker Vange Alinsug also contributed significantly with 15 points each.

The Lady Bulldogs are aiming for their third consecutive championship in the tournament.

This finals series will reignite a rivalry between NU and La Salle, who met twice in the last three UAAP finals, with La Salle having ended NU's 28-game winning streak in the SSL prelims.
