NorthPort replaces import with preferred choice Venky Jois

NorthPort's initial import, Taylor Johns, was replaced by their preferred import, Venky Jois, after just one game in the PBA Governors' Cup due to prior commitments that initially prevented Jois from joining the team.

Coach Bonnie Tan stated that Venky Jois was the team's first choice for import this season, emphasizing Jois' familiarity with the local players.

Jois made a strong return to the Batang Pier lineup, delivering a double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds while shooting 66.7% from the field in their victory over Terrafirma.

Taylor Johns, who played in place of Jois, had an impressive performance in his single game, nearly achieving a triple-double with 36 points, 16 rebounds, and 9 assists, despite the team's loss to TNT.
