NorthPort edges San Miguel, inches closer to playoff advantage

NorthPort narrowly defeated San Miguel with a final score of 105-104 in the PBA Commissioner's Cup, thanks to import Kadeem Jack's game-winning jumper with 16.7 seconds left.

Jack was instrumental in the victory, scoring a game-high 38 points, including 27 in the first half, on 15-of-23 shooting.

The Batang Pier managed to hold on despite squandering a 24-point lead in the second half, with San Miguel even taking the lead briefly in the final minute.

Arvin Tolentino contributed 22 points, eight rebounds, and four assists, while William Navarro and Joshua Munzon added 12 points each.

For San Miguel, June Mar Fajardo led with 24 points and 15 rebounds, and CJ Perez added 21 points.

With this win, NorthPort improved their standing to 8-3, moving closer to securing a twice-to-beat advantage in the playoffs.

San Miguel dropped to 4-6 but remains in the Top 8 playoff picture.
