Thirteen people were injured when a passenger bus collided with a van and a dump truck on the North Luzon Expressway in Valenzuela City on Monday night.
The front of the bus, carrying 30 passengers, was severely damaged, with some passengers breaking windows to escape due to a jammed door.
Among the injured was an 83-year-old woman who sustained facial bruises and required hospitalization.
The bus was traveling from Angat, Bulacan to Caloocan, while the dump truck was carrying sand and heading to Taguig from Porac, Pampanga.
The bus operator has shouldered the medical expenses of the victims, and the van driver did not press charges.
The Department of Transportation has suspended the bus company for 90 days following the accident, a decision approved by Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon.
