NLEX and MPTC expressways to offer toll-free passage on Christmas and New Year

NLEX and its affiliated expressways will offer toll-free passage for motorists during Christmas and New Year holidays as a special treat to travelers.

The toll-free period will be from 10 p.m. on December 24 to 6 a.m. on December 25, and again from 10 p.m. on December 31 to 6 a.m. on January 1, 2026.

This holiday perk extends to other expressways operated by Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), including SCTEX, NLEX Connector, CAVITEX, and CALAX.

To manage the expected surge in traffic, MPTC will suspend all roadworks from December 19 until January 5, 2026.

Additionally, MPTC will implement counterflow lanes on NLEX during peak travel times to ease congestion.

Special traffic, toll, and emergency response teams will be on standby to assist motorists throughout the holiday season.
