NHCP installs marker at Aguinaldo's wartime residence

The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) has installed a historical marker titled "Landas ng Pagkabansa" at Mansiyong Pamintuan in Angeles City on February 6, 2025.

This installation is part of the NHCP's three-year commemoration of the 125th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence and the Inauguration of the First Republic.

Mansiyong Pamintuan was recognized by the NHCP for its significant role in the nation's formation.

Historical records indicate that President Emilio Aguinaldo and his delegation resided at Mansiyong Pamintuan in May to July 1899, during the Philippine-American War.

While staying at Mansiyong Pamintuan, Aguinaldo's delegation celebrated the first anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence.

Aguinaldo selected Mansiyong Pamintuan, owned by Florentino Pamintuan, a member of the Philippine Revolutionary Committee, as his wartime residence.

The mansion was originally a gift to Florentino Pamintuan from his parents, Mariano Pamintuan and Valentina Torres.
