Negros Oriental logs 16 new Covid-19 cases

Negros Oriental has recorded 16 new cases of Covid-19, increasing the province's total confirmed infections to 30.

Of the 16 new cases, 13 are authorized persons outside of residence (APORs), specifically soldiers from the 302nd Brigade, and three are locally-stranded individuals (LSIs).

The soldiers were previously deployed to Cebu City.

One of the new LSIs is a 39-year-old female from Sta. Catalina town who arrived from Manila, marking the first case in her town.

The other two LSIs include individuals from Amlan, companions of a previously positive case from Mandaue City, and a resident of Bais City who arrived from Bulacan.

The latest update reports a total of 32 active infections in Negros Oriental, with two new cases: a soldier and an LSI.

The soldier's infection brings the total positive cases from his group deployed to Cebu City to 21.
