Negros Occidental guv returns to work after testing negative for COVID-19

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson of Negros Occidental has returned to work after testing negative for COVID-19.

He had previously placed himself under self-quarantine as a precautionary measure after a utility worker in his office tested positive for the virus.

A total of twenty members of the governor's staff, including key personnel, were advised to self-isolate and undergo swab testing.

Four individuals, including two employees from the Governor's Office, tested positive for COVID-19.

The Governor's Office was locked down for decontamination over the weekend.

Separately, the offices of the Vice Governor and the Sangguniang Panlalawigan remain closed until Tuesday after a staff member tested positive, although legislative and administrative offices in the basement are open.
