NDRRMC spokesperson Mark Timbal clarified that these deployed personnel will not take over the rescue operations of the LGUs.
These deployed teams amount to over 1,000 search-and-rescue personnel, with another 282 teams on standby for relief.
Typhoon Ulysses caused widespread flooding across regions including Bicol, Quezon Province, Cavite, Metro Manila, and Rizal, with Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 3 in effect for Metro Manila and eight other areas as of Thursday morning.
