Chinese national rescued in Pasay, 5 suspects nabbed

Metro Manila police rescued a Chinese national in Pasay City after his friend reported a PHP 500,000 ransom demand from five Chinese nationals.

The suspects, including one alias "Jian", were arrested after a law enforcement operation, with authorities also seizing 152.4 grams of suspected "shabu" with a Standard Drug Price of P761,000 and two loaded .38 caliber revolvers.

They face charges for kidnapping for ransom, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, and reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.

The operation was conducted under the instructions of NCRPO director PBGen. Anthony A. Aberin, Southern Police District director PBGen. Manuel J. Abrugena, and Pasay Police chief PCol. Joselito M. De Sesto.

The suspects were apprehended at Shore 2 Condominium in the MOA Complex, Pasay City.
