NCRPO records 3 indiscriminate firing incidents, 1 cop involved

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) has recorded three incidents of indiscriminate firing in Metro Manila, with one involving a police officer.

According to NCRPO spokesperson Police Major Hazel Asilo, all suspects in these incidents have been apprehended, including one police officer and two civilians.

One of the apprehended suspects is a 28-year-old patrolman from the Maritime Group who fired his weapon at three minors during an altercation concerning noise and firecrackers in Parañaque City.

Asilo acknowledged that while the Philippine National Police (PNP) no longer seals firearms to maintain response times, some police officers still exhibit reckless behavior and fail to control themselves.
