NCRPO deploys 2,500 cops for Black Friday protests

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) is deploying over 2,500 police officers to secure potential Black Friday protests concerning flood control issues.

A total of 2,550 police personnel have been assigned for the security of possible rallies.

Of these, 1,250 officers are already positioned in key areas such as Mendiola, the DPWH Central Office, the Senate, and the Batasang Pambansa Complex.

An additional 1,250 police officers are on standby in relevant police districts.

The NCRPO anticipates protest actions primarily in Manila and along EDSA, although specific locations were not disclosed.

These protests are a response to concerns and issues surrounding anomalous flood control projects.
