NCRPO deploys 17,105 cops for anti-corruption rallies

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) has increased police deployment to 17,105 personnel across Metro Manila for the anti-corruption rallies on November 30.

Over 10,200 of these officers are from the NCRPO, with the remainder being augmentation forces from various regions.

This increased deployment is to cover more potential rally sites, including the EDSA People Power Monument and the Quirino Grandstand.

Personnel directly engaging with rallyists will be unarmed, equipped with shields and batons to prioritize de-escalation, while perimeter security and apprehension teams will be armed.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) affirmed its readiness, alongside the Philippine National Police (PNP), to ensure the safe and orderly conduct of the demonstrations.

Unpermitted rallies in other areas will be addressed on a case-by-case basis through negotiation with organizers.
