14,600 cops to secure Metro Manila during holidays
The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) is deploying 14,600 police personnel across Metro Manila for the Christmas season.
This deployment is part of the NCRPO's full operational readiness for the Yuletide Season 2025.
Approximately 7,327 officers will be stationed in critical areas such as places of worship, major roads, transportation hubs, and commercial complexes.
The remaining 7,287 officers will conduct routine law enforcement activities, including patrols, checkpoints, border control, and rapid response.
NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Anthony Aberin stated that police are committed to keeping every family safe as they travel, shop, and attend holiday activities.
The NCRPO projects a 31 percent surge in theft, shoplifting, and snatching incidents compared to last year, though the crime situation is deemed manageable.
Police have intensified crackdowns on profiteers and hoarders with the help of the Department of Trade and Industry and local government units.
