NCR moves to moderate Covid-19 risk as positivity rate climbs

The National Capital Region (NCR) has been reclassified to moderate risk for Covid-19, with its positivity rate rising to 16.4 percent.

Department of Health (DOH) officer-in-charge Maria Rosario Vergeire stated that this increase is noticeable when compared to the preceding two weeks.

Despite the elevated positivity rate, the NCR's healthcare utilization remains manageable at below 50 percent.

While most of the NCR is classified as moderate risk, 11 out of its 17 cities and municipalities are specifically under this classification.

The NCR was last under moderate risk classification on September 3.

DOH continues to monitor the situation closely with the Metro Manila Center for Health Development and local government units.
