NCCA holds poetry reading for National Literary Month

The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) organized poetry reading sessions called "Kwentulaan: Isang Read Along Session" to celebrate National Literary Month.

Proclamation No. 968 of 2015 designated April as National Literary Month, coinciding with the celebration of Araw ni Francisco Balagtas.

Ryan Esteban, director of the National Book Development Board (NBDB), expressed concern over the decreasing number of Filipino readers.

During the event, Dr. Arthur Casanova read his politically charged poem "Tutulaan ko ang Araw," RR Kagalingan performed "Time Traveling Lasing," and Niles Jordan Breis shared his unpublished work "Ang Pisika ng Ilang Maikling Tulay."
