PSC approves NCAA return to Rizal Memorial Coliseum

The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) has approved the National Collegiate Athletic Association's (NCAA) return to the Rizal Memorial Coliseum (RMC).

Opened in 1934, the RMC was the NCAA's primary venue for decades, especially for basketball, until 2005.

Atty. Jonas Cabochan, NCAA Management Committee representative, stated that the RMC holds the league's "identity" and was synonymous with the NCAA in its early years.

PSC Chairman Pato Gregorio welcomed the NCAA back, calling the RMC "their home" and expressing confidence that its accessibility will draw larger crowds.

The NCAA is planning a soft launch at the RMC in September and a grand opening in October for its upcoming season.

Gymnastics, boxing, and weightlifting are also being considered to be added as demonstration sports for NCAA Season 101.
