NBI mulls polygraph for driver in ex-DPWH official's death

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is considering a polygraph test for the driver of the late former DPWH Undersecretary Ma. Catalina "Cathy" Cabral, identified as Ricardo Muños Hernandez.

NBI spokesperson Atty. Palmer Mallari stated that a lie detector test is a potential investigative tool if they remain unconvinced by Hernandez's statements.

However, Mallari clarified that the polygraph test is not necessarily applicable to Hernandez and would require his consent and consultation with his legal counsel.

Cabral was found lifeless on December 18 after falling into a ravine in Tuba town, Benguet.

Hernandez, who drove for Cabral on the day of the incident, has been questioned and was previously considered a person of interest.
