Alice Guo faces graft raps for Pogo property

Dismissed Bamban Mayor Alice Guo and 35 others are facing graft and corruption charges filed by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) before the Office of the Ombudsman.

The charges include alleged tax evasion, illegal land conversion, and misuse of authority concerning a POGO property appraised at P3.9 billion.

Only P10,000 in real property taxes were paid for the property, with no tax paid for the building, which the NBI deemed highly disadvantageous to the government.

Guo, whose real name is Guo Hua Ping and who is suspected of being a Chinese spy, is currently detained at the Pasig City Jail.

She also faces complaints for money laundering and qualified human trafficking filed by the police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission.
