NBI arrests vlogger for 'headshot' post against PBBM

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Cybercrime Division arrested vlogger Mike Romero in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur for posting a photograph of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. with a red arrow pointing to him and the caption "Headshot."

NBI Director Jaime Santiago stated that threats against the President fall under the NBI's primary jurisdiction, as "headshot" implies being shot in the head, a matter that should be taken seriously.

The vlogger insisted the post was a commentary on the President's leadership, not a death threat, and that the term "headshot" was misused.

Romero will face charges of sedition and grave threat, similar to those filed against Vice President Sara Duterte in February for her alleged assassination remarks against Marcos.
