NBI agent's son murder suspect nabbed in Bulacan

A man identified as John Michael Serrano Garcia, who is accused of murdering the son of an NBI agent, has been apprehended in Bulacan.

Garcia was arrested by operatives from various NBI regional offices at his aunt's residence in Barangay Mambog, Malolos City, following an extensive manhunt.

The arrest was executed based on a warrant issued by the Baguio City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 78, where Garcia faces murder and attempted murder charges.

The charges against Garcia are connected to the death of Luke Macaraeg, the son of an NBI agent, which occurred on November 24, 2024, in Baguio City.

Witnesses suggest that Garcia's actual intended victim was Gino Manolo Castillo Banta, due to Banta's prior relationship with Garcia's girlfriend.
