4 South Koreans charged in court for illegal online gambling -- NBI
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested four Korean nationals in Pampanga for allegedly operating an illegal online gambling business.
The arrested individuals, identified as Kim Minha, Kim Haesu, Kim Minsuu, and Jang Jin, were apprehended on February 27 following a joint operation by the NBI-Pampanga District Office and Philippine Air Force military intelligence.
Authorities executed a search warrant on a condominium in Brgy. Sta. Cruz, Porac, Pampanga, seizing computer devices and online gambling paraphernalia.
The suspects were allegedly operating without a license from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
The four Koreans have since been charged in court with illegal online gambling, with their cases now with the Angeles City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 115.
Two of the arrested individuals are reportedly fugitives wanted in South Korea.
