Naic mayor tests positive for COVID-19

Naic Mayor Junio C. Dualan announced on March 24 that he tested positive for COVID-19, stating he was "positive but in good condition."

He is undergoing strict self-quarantine and asked constituents for their understanding and prayers.

Dualan decided to get tested after learning that Baliuag, Bulacan Mayor Ferdie Estrella, with whom he attended a national assembly, also tested positive.

In addition to the mayor, two other Naic constituents, both male patients aged 62 and 71, have tested positive for COVID-19.

As of the report, Naic has nine patients under investigation and 151 individuals under monitoring.

Nationwide, COVID-19 had claimed 33 lives and infected 552 people by Tuesday afternoon, with Luzon under enhanced community quarantine until April 13.
