NAIA targets 6,000 workers for free COVID-19 rapid tests

More than 6,000 workers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) are targeted to receive free rapid antibody tests for COVID-19 starting July 22.

As of July 23, NAIA personnel have recorded 60 COVID-19 cases, with 41 active and 19 recovered.

Employees who test positive via rapid antibody test will undergo the more accurate RT-PCR test.

The rapid antibody tests were provided as a donation and are not compulsory for employees.

A 24/7 COVID-19 hotline has been launched for employees and service providers to report queries or possible exposures.

NAIA has implemented safety protocols, including a 'no mask, no entry' policy, physical distancing, and temperature checks.
