MVP proud of TNT despite PBA finals loss

Smart Communications boss Manny V. Pangilinan expressed pride in the TNT Tropang Giga's effort despite their loss to San Miguel Beer in the PBA Philippine Cup finals.

He conveyed that while the defeat is saddening, the team's performance was "not embarrassing" and that their heads were "bowed in sorrow, but not in shame."

The Tropang Giga, who started the conference with a 0-3 record, battled injuries to key players throughout the Philippine Cup.

TNT managed to extend the series to Game 6, fighting closely with San Miguel Beer.

However, TNT appeared to run out of energy in the second half of Game 6, allowing San Miguel Beer to secure the 4-2 series victory and reclaim the Philippine Cup title.

Pangilinan spoke to the team in their dugout after the 96-107 loss in Game 6, offering words of comfort.
