Two murder charges were filed: one for the death of Percy Lapid and another for the death of Jun Villamor, an inmate at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) allegedly acting as a middleman.

Aside from Bantag, BuCor official Senior Superintendent Ricardo Zulueta and several PDLs were named respondents.

Bantag and Zulueta are accused as principals by inducement for both killings, while PDLs are accused of indispensable cooperation.

Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla stated that Bantag allegedly rushed back to his house on September 9, after learning that Percy Lapid was taking photos and videos of his house and vehicles.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has enjoined Bantag and Zulueta to face the murder complaint and participate in the ongoing investigation, including the preliminary investigation scheduled for November 11.

The PNP and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) are attempting to locate Zulueta, who is reportedly AWOL but believed to still be in the country.
