Muntinlupa curfew to start on March 16
Muntinlupa City will implement a city-wide curfew from 8 PM to 5 AM, starting March 16 until April 14, as part of the community quarantine.
The curfew is mandated by City Ordinance 2020-065, approved on March 14.
Exemptions include night shift workers like call center agents and hospital personnel, as well as delivery personnel for basic necessities and public transport services.
Peace and order personnel and individuals involved in emergency cases are also exempted.
Enforcement will be carried out by the Philippine National Police (PNP) Muntinlupa, barangay officials, and the Muntinlupa Public Order and Security Office.
Violators will face fines starting at P1,000 for the first offense.
Muntinlupa has also closed its border with San Pedro, Laguna starting March 15 as part of the travel ban to stem the spread of COVID-19.
