Muntinlupa gov't to give P10,000 aid to families affected by demolition

Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon has assured financial assistance for families affected by the recent demolition at the Acero-ICC-Sto. Niño area, even though the city government is not directly involved in the property dispute.

The city government has allocated P10,000 in financial aid per household for those impacted by the demolition.

Mayor Biazon clarified that the acceptance of financial aid does not influence the continuation of the demolition, emphasizing that the assistance is for all affected families.

The city government has prepared for approximately 400 households, exceeding the 151 families identified by the Presidential Commission on Urban Poor as eligible for compensation from the landowner.

A previous motion filed by Mayor Biazon to halt the demolition was denied by the Pasay City Regional Trial Court.
