MPTC distributes food relief to 220 barangays

Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) has extended food relief to 220 barangays situated along its expressway network to help communities affected by the enhanced community quarantine.

The relief goods, consisting of rice, canned goods, and noodles, were distributed to barangays in various cities in Metro Manila and other local government units in Luzon.

MPTC president Rodrigo Franco expressed hope that these donations would support local government efforts and alleviate the concerns of families in these areas.

Volunteers from MPTC observed strict social distancing protocols during the handover of the relief items to local officials.

MPTC's expressways, including NLEX, SCTEX, CAVITEX, and CALAX, have remained operational to facilitate the movement of essential goods and medical frontliners.

Additionally, MPTC has provided toll-free travel for medical frontliners on its expressways as a way to honor their contributions during the COVID-19 fight.
