NLEX starts P2.2-B C5 Northlink project
NLEX Corp. has commenced construction on the P2.2-billion NLEX-C5 Northlink Section 1A, a two-kilometer elevated expressway connecting the Mindanao Toll Plaza to Quirino Highway in Quezon City.
The project, to be built by China Road and Bridge Corp., is targeted for completion in 12 months.
MPTC President and CEO Jose Ma. Lim stated that the elevated design was chosen to minimize disruptions to local communities during construction.
The entire 11.3-kilometer NLEX-C5 Northlink project is expected to benefit over 45,000 motorists daily.
It aims to improve access between NLEX, Valenzuela, and Quezon City, significantly reducing travel time and easing congestion on major roads such as EDSA, Commonwealth Avenue, Quirino Highway, and Mindanao Avenue.
