‘Yorme’ relieves MPD drug enforcement unit amid extortion allegations

The complaint was filed by a motorcycle delivery rider, alias Chester, who alleged that seven DDEU operatives arrested him and his companion and demanded money.
Chester claimed that he and his friend were detained for nearly eleven hours, during which P9,000 was taken from his GCash account and his companion's motorcycle was seized.
However, an official report indicated that the two individuals were arrested on drug-related charges.
The MPD assures that the investigation into the alleged misconduct will be conducted fairly, without bias, and with transparency.
