MPD asks public to leave pets, kids home for Undas 2025

The Manila Police District (MPD) is urging the public to leave pets and young children at home during the Undas 2025 period to ensure a peaceful observance.

MPD spokesperson Police Major Philipp Ines explained that crowded cemeteries pose health and safety risks, can cause stress to pets, and advised parents against bringing young children unless absolutely necessary.

If children cannot be left at home, they will be given identification tags with contact information for easier reunification in case of separation.

The MPD anticipates a large volume of visitors, estimating around 1.5 million people will visit the Manila North Cemetery alone.

Approximately 1,000 police officers will be deployed to monitor major cemeteries in Manila from October 30 to November 2.

Prohibited items in cemeteries include alcoholic beverages, deadly weapons, and loudspeakers, while overnight stays and vending are also not allowed.
