Majority of Filipinos want ICC to focus on drug war victims

A recent WR Numero poll indicates that the majority of Filipinos believe the International Criminal Court (ICC) should prioritize delivering justice for victims of former President Rodrigo Duterte's war on drugs over the Marcos-Duterte feud.

The survey revealed that 59% of Filipinos agree with this sentiment, with only 12% disagreeing and 18% undecided.

This public opinion follows the arrest of Mr. Duterte on March 12 based on an ICC-issued warrant.

Support for the ICC focusing on drug war victims was particularly strong in Metro Manila (70%), Luzon (68%), and the Visayas (65%).

While Mindanao, Mr. Duterte's political stronghold, showed a more divided opinion with 32% in agreement and 30% opposed, younger Filipinos (aged 30 and below) expressed the highest support at 61%.

Respondents from upper and middle-class backgrounds (Class ABC) also showed substantial backing for the ICC's focus on victims, with 70% agreeing.
