MORE Power cuts Iloilo system loss by 24% since 2020

MORE Electric and Power Corporation (MORE Power) has significantly improved Iloilo City's power distribution system since taking over in 2020, achieving a system loss reduction of 24 percent.

Under its five-year development roadmap, MORE Power has seen its system loss decrease to approximately 4.7 percent, a substantial improvement attributed to new technologies, upgraded facilities, and staff training.

The company has also expanded its customer base by adding around 20,000 new connections in the past year and is considering expanding its services to other areas in the Negros region.

Since acquiring its franchise in 2019, MORE Power has undertaken modernization efforts, including substation rehabilitation and network capacity expansion, leading to a more stable power supply and potentially lower electricity rates.
