Mon Ilagan named PCO undersecretary for operations

Mon Ilagan has been appointed as the new undersecretary of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), focusing on operations.

PCO Secretary Dave Gomez confirmed the appointment and clarified that Ilagan's role is in operations, not as a spokesperson or press office officer.

Gomez specifically denied reports that Ilagan would replace Undersecretary Claire Castro, stating Castro remains the spokesperson and press office officer.

Before his PCO appointment, Ilagan served as an assistant secretary in the Department of Transportation.

Ilagan is a former three-term mayor of Cainta, Rizal, and previously worked as a journalist.
