P820M compensation offered for Corinthian Gardens Subway right-of-way
The Metro Manila Subway Project (MMSP) will begin drilling operations under Corinthian Gardens in January 2026, as announced by the Department of Transportation (DOTr).
The DOTr has made 32 compensation offers totaling P820.6 million to property owners within the subdivision, with 20 owners accepting offers amounting to P461.1 million, representing about 56% of the total offers.
The subway's alignment will cover 500 meters within Corinthian Gardens, affecting 33 properties.
Overall right-of-way acquisition for the MMSP is 75 percent complete and is targeted for full completion by March 2026.
Acting Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez expressed gratitude to the residents for their support of the project.
The MMSP is not expected to be fully operational until 2032, which is beyond President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s term.
