MMDA warns of fake NCAP violation website

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has warned the public about a fraudulent website, "May Violation Ba?", which falsely claims to allow users to check for No Contact Apprehension Program (NCAP) violations.

Motorists are advised against entering their license plate numbers or sharing the link to prevent confusion and potential misuse of personal data.

The MMDA is developing its own official NCAP website and plans to announce its release within the coming week.

This warning precedes the upcoming EDSA rehabilitation project, scheduled to begin on June 13 and last until 2027, which is expected to cause significant traffic congestion.

To mitigate traffic during the rehabilitation, provincial buses and trucks will be temporarily banned from EDSA from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., bike lane separators will be removed, and a dedicated motorcycle lane will be opened.

Additionally, the EDSA Busway will remain operational with 100 additional buses deployed by the Department of Transportation, and the MRT-3 will operate with extra train sets.
