MMDA spox tests negative for COVID-19

MMDA Spokesperson Assistant Secretary Celine Pialago has tested negative for COVID-19, despite experiencing flu-like symptoms.

Pialago decided to get tested as a precautionary measure after experiencing symptoms like a cold and dry cough.

Her test result came back negative on Friday, April 3.

Pialago and MMDA General Manager Jojo Garcia had previously self-quarantined on March 23 after potential exposure to a COVID-19 patient.

Garcia had announced on March 28 that he had contracted the virus.

Pialago stated that she wanted to inform the public of her negative result to prevent discrimination against her personnel, some of whom have faced difficulties in their communities.

She also urged the public to stay at home and prioritize their health to help curb the spread of the disease.
