Miss Asia Pacific International pageant holds scaled-down prelims after quake

The 2025 Miss Asia Pacific International pageant held a scaled-down, closed-door preliminary competition on October 6 at Bai Hotel Cebu following a magnitude 6.9 earthquake.

The preliminary event was originally scheduled for October 3 but was canceled due to the earthquake which caused destruction and loss of life, particularly in northern Cebu.

Pageant organizers decided to cancel public events and realign delegate activities to show solidarity with earthquake victims, with delegates participating in relief efforts for four days.

The coronation night, originally a ticketed event, will now be free and open to the public with limited seats available via online registration.

The coronation night is scheduled for Wednesday evening, October 8, at the Cebu Complex Coliseum.
