Miguel Tabuena tied for 4th at Yeangder TPC, trails leader by 5 shots

Filipino golfer Miguel Tabuena remains in contention at the Yeangder TPC after carding a three-under-par 69 on Friday.

He holds a seven-under 137 total, placing him in a tie for fourth place.

American Charles Porter surged ahead to seize the solo lead at 12-under 132.

Tabuena is eyeing a strong third-round push to close the gap despite slipping five shots behind Porter.

Starting in tougher afternoon conditions, Tabuena birdied three holes and bounced back from a miscue with a two-putt birdie on the par-5 18th.

Despite struggling off the tee and missing several fairways and greens, Tabuena scrambled well, saving par multiple times.

Fellow Filipino Sean Ramos rebounded with a 68, jumping to a tie for 27th at two-under 142.
