Michael V. tests positive for COVID-19

Kapuso comedian Michael V. announced on Monday, July 20, that he tested positive for COVID-19.

He shared his experience through a vlog, detailing the onset of flu-like symptoms starting July 10, including shortness of breath and a loss of his sense of smell and taste.

Despite being meticulous with safety protocols such as social distancing and using PPEs, he contracted the virus.

Michael V. underwent an RT-PCR test five days after noticing his symptoms and received his positive result on July 18 from St. Luke's Quezon City.

He immediately isolated himself, took medicine, and consulted a doctor online, noting his temperature at its highest was 37.1 degrees Celsius.

As of his latest vlog, he is experiencing fever but has regained his sense of smell.

He urged the public not to downplay symptoms and to remain cautious.
