Meralco to tap Brownlee, Hollis-Jefferson for EASL

Meralco is reportedly set to bring in PBA imports Justin Brownlee and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson for the upcoming East Asia Super League (EASL).

Brownlee will play as Meralco's naturalized player, with San Miguel Corporation's approval, while Hollis-Jefferson, formerly of TNT Tropang Giga, is also expected to join.

Coach Chot Reyes expressed his excitement over the "game-changer" partnership, having coached both players previously.

Reyes was instrumental in bringing Hollis-Jefferson to the PBA, and coached Brownlee during Gilas Pilipinas' gold medal win in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games and FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.

The EASL tournament is scheduled to begin on October 8, with Meralco's first game against the Ryukyu Golden Kings on October 22.

Meralco is expected to formally announce Brownlee's inclusion within the next two weeks.
