Meralco Bolts notch second EASL win, defeat Macau Black Bears 92-74

The Meralco Bolts secured their second consecutive win in the East Asia Super League (EASL) by defeating the Macau Black Bears with a final score of 92-74 at the refurbished Cebu Coliseum.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson was the standout performer for the Bolts, notching 35 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists, including three thunderous dunks.

Teammate Ismael Romero also had a dominant performance, contributing 25 points and an impressive 28 rebounds.

The game, dubbed "Basketball for Cebu," served as an EASL charity event, with all proceeds going toward relief efforts for victims of recent earthquakes and flooding in Cebu.

The Bolts players and management are also donating P500,000 for the cause.

RHJ expressed his happiness in being able to bring excitement to the fans in Cebu and hoped to inspire them.

Meralco head coach Nenad Vucinic acknowledged the difficulty of the game due to the Black Bears' new coach and roster, but expressed satisfaction with the win and anticipates a tougher rematch.
