Melanie Marquez claims abduction, forced confinement in mental hospital

Former beauty queen Melanie Marquez revealed she was "abducted" and forcibly admitted to a mental hospital in Pasig City on her birthday.

She was held for 10 days in the mental hospital before being transferred to a rehab facility for eight months.

Marquez believes her confinement was a retaliatory act after she filed a case against her husband at the time, Randy "Adam" Lawyer, for alleged abuse.

She stated she had not used any illegal substances and felt betrayed by the experience, mentioning her phone was hacked and she was judged.

Marquez was looking after two sons who were on the spectrum and overseeing construction on land she had bought at the time.
