Megaworld to open 7 new hotels by 2030

Megaworld Hotels & Resorts plans to open seven new hotels nationwide by 2030, aiming to expand its room inventory to 9,000 keys.

These new properties include the 554-room Chancellor Hotel in Boracay, the 404-room Belmont Hotel Iloilo, and the 300-room The Kingsford in Bacolod.

Additional hotels are Savoy Hotel Palawan (304 rooms), Paragua Sands in Palawan (313 rooms), Savoy Capital Town in Pampanga (373 rooms), and ArcoVia Hotel in Pasig (339 rooms).

Megaworld president and CEO Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso stated that this expansion aims to further grow and strengthen the company's contribution to the Philippine tourism industry.

Megaworld will also transition five of its existing properties into Accor-branded hotels, with Belmont Hotel Mactan to be rebranded as Mercure Mactan Cebu.

The inclusion of international brands is expected to solidify Megaworld's position as the largest hotel operator in the country.
