Mayor Sotto allows Landers to reopen grocery section

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto has conditionally allowed the grocery section of Landers Superstore to reopen after a temporary suspension for failing to enforce physical distancing measures.

The supermarket's operations were resumed after its management submitted a corrective and preventive action plan detailing proposed modifications to health protocols and safety measures.

The action plan includes limiting the number of customers, implementing a one-way foot traffic scheme, and deploying staff to monitor each aisle.

Mayor Sotto warned that Landers' operations will be suspended again if they fail to implement any part of their submitted action plan.

The local government emphasized the need for businesses to comply with stringent health and safety standards to prevent the spread of COVID-19 while gradually rebooting the local economy.
